This resort-like haven is designed to provide a connection to the surrounding landscape, which was once an expansive saltwater farm, and now serves as a setting for this oceanfront retreat. The clients sought a new home that felt ‘uniquely Maine’ and provided ample space for entertaining family and friends. They desired architecture that opened to the landscape and didn’t’ impede their ability to thoroughly enjoy the outdoors. The centerpiece of this landscape is the custom pool and spa that were designed to appear as if they were carved into the existing craggy ledge that is prominent on this site.
