The new owner of this classic Cape Elizabeth home with extensive lawn and limited outdoor entertaining space dreamed of combining world-class vacation amenities with everyday life. The masterplan by MCLD artfully fuses their complex luxury program with elaborate high-tech infrastructure, like a fully heated driveway and spa with custom automatic cover. The contemporary landscape is structured and lush and nestled into context. Carefully orchestrated topography seamlessly unifies the site and its robust and healing colonies of native plants. Meticulously crafted stone walls retain a curved vanishing edge pool and large terrace designed to maximize views of Casco Bay. Drought-resistant native plantings with vibrant foliage combinations surround outdoor spaces and punctuate each season’s activities. The fire boulder seating area and outdoor kitchen and dining area provide endless opportunities for an outdoor lifestyle. The elegant landscape feels comfortable and alive and continuously evolves to meet the client’s needs.
